  • Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to ensure that students receive direct observation and documented feedback on their clinical skills during core clerkships.

Policy

The College is committed to observing and providing feedback on students’ clinical skills. For each phase 2 required clerkship, students are expected to be observed by faculty or residents performing at least one history and at least one physical or mental status exam, and feedback is expected to be documented. The history and physical or mental status exam may be focused or complete.
