College of Medicine Scholarship

Students admitted as of Fall 2016

For students who are admitted as of Fall 2016 entry term, regardless of the first date of attendance, the award offers $15,000 for each academic year for a maximum 4 years (8 semesters total).

Students admitted as of Fall 2013

For students who are admitted as of Fall 2013 entry term, regardless of the first date of attendance, the award offers $10,000 for each academic year for a maximum 4 years (8 semesters total).

Eligibility for the University of Illinois College of Medicine Scholarship

If a student is selected for the College of Medicine Scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled as a University of Illinois – College of Medicine student and must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year.Only those selected at the time of admission are eligible; no other financial aid application is necessary. In order to qualify, scholarship recipients must also meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • Must enroll for at least 6 credit hours each semester
  • Must meet the requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress*  each semester
