UI COM Hosts Research Forum 2025

The University of Illinois College of Medicine held its annual Research Forum on Friday, November 7th, inviting researchers from each UI COM campus to share their research, find inspiration from their peers, and make connections to further advance their futures in medicine and discovery.
Close to 400 individuals prepared presentations and shared posters highlighting their work, and were judged based on the basis of quality, significance, technical approach, innovation, quality of oral presentation, and overall scientific impact. The Forum was split into two sessions, morning and afternoon, with submissions split into five categories:
- Medical students
- PhD, MD-PhD combined degrees and other graduate students
- Postdoctoral fellows & residents
- Research assistants and scientific staff
- Other
Winners in each category receive funding to continue their academic pursuits. University of Illinois affiliates can see winning presentations on the Research Forum website.
