Telemedicine and Telehealth

Technology is opening up many new ways for patients to interact with the healthcare system in the United States. At the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine, there is an active interest in exploring how the tools of technology can be used to improve the service that we provide as well as how those tools can be used by patients to improve their health.

Whether you are looking to start your own telehealth program or if you are a patient or provider looking for telehealth services, we hope you find the information you are looking for. If you don’t find the information, please feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to help you.

Clinical Services

See what’s going on at the University of Illinois for telemedicine activities. There are active clinical service lines and projects in development as well as a dedicated telehealth research lab focusing on integrating new technologies into the clinical workflow and care management processes.

Resource Center

Setting up to participate in a telemedicine network can be daunting and challenging. The UIC Telehealth Resource Center has an online help guide and a series of videos to help you learn about the equipment and decisions that you will likely be making.
