Campus Placement

With approximately 1,400 students enrolled across its three campuses in Chicago, Peoria, and Rockford, students have the unique opportunity to learn in rural and urban environments with integrated curriculum that is delivered simultaneously across all three.

The University of Illinois College of Medicine (UI COM) has three campus locations—Chicago, Peoria, and Rockford, IL. The campus assignment process occurs after an acceptance to UI COM has been offered. An accepted applicant could potentially be placed on any campus. Campus site assignments are final.

Our medical students receive extensive clinical experience which begins in the first two years of their medical education. At all three campuses, students learn best-practices for treating a wide variety of patients, from rural to urban populations. All of our clinical education programs offer focused, skill-building experience in community clinics, major teaching hospitals and other diverse settings.
