The AI.Health4All Center for Health Equity using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are transforming health care and medical practice at a rapid rate. The University of Illinois College of Medicine has a unique role to play in AI/ML research by bringing to this work an equity approach that ensures that health disparities are addressed.
The College of Medicine has established the AI.Health4All Center to support research, training, education, and innovation at the intersection of health equity and advanced technology.

In its initial phase of growth, the AI.Health4All Center will support five major initiatives:

Faculty Recruitment/Domain Hiring
- Faculty can be at any rank (Instructor to Professor).
- Research interests in AI/ML domain that intersects with health equity.
- An established portfolio of research grants or potential for future funding.
- Single investigators or research teams are welcome under this hiring initiative.

The AI.Health4All Center invites you to apply for funding for Postdoctoral Scholar positions focused on the fields of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning to promote health equity.Submission Deadline: August 1, 2024
This application is for funding for salary & benefits (at NIH-defined levels) for Postdoctoral Scholar positions focused on the fields of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning to Promote Health Equity. Units are expected to provide the infrastructure to support these scholars and their research. Appointments will be for a 2-year period.

College of Medicine Departments will:
- Identify the candidates for these positions.
- Provide discipline or clinical mentorship.
- Cover non-salary costs and infrastructure for the research.
The AI.Health4All Center will:
- Cover all salary costs for these appointments (at NIH-defined levels).
- Provide mentorship and support for these postdocs in the case that the department lacks technical or research experts.
- Prove support for K award development and applications.
