Enhance Your Research Skills with Nature Masterclasses
The University of Illinois College of Medicine is pleased to offer Nature Masterclasses, a premier online learning resource designed to support researchers at all career stages. Developed by Nature Research, these courses provide practical insights and expert guidance to help researchers improve their writing, publishing, and professional development skills.

Who can access?
Nature Masterclasses are available for free to everyone in the University of Illinois College of Medicine. These courses are designed to enhance research productivity, improve publication success, and strengthen career development.

How to access the courses
Members of the University of Illinois College of Medicine can access Nature Masterclasses through our institutional subscription.
If you encounter any access issues, please reach out using the form below.
First-time users
- Goto Masterclasses website
- Select University of Illinois College of Medicine from the institution list.
- Log in using your NetID credentials.
- Complete the registration form after logging in.
- Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link to verify your account. (If you don’t see it, check your junk/spam folder.)
- The verification link will lead you back to the Nature Masterclasses website where you will be automatically logged in. You are ready to explore the course pages and start learning!
Returning users
- Goto Masterclasses website
- Simply log in using the Institutional Login and select University of Illinois College of Medicine.
- You will be prompted to log in with your NetID.
- Upon successfully logging in, you can proceed to the courses.
Note: Please do not attempt to log in using the regular/personal login. Use the Institutional Login only.

Nature Masterclasses On-Demand EEAP
IT support throughout the College of Medicine is distributed. In the event of an issue with Nature Springer Masterclass, the client would first contact their local tech support. In most cases, this would be by creating a ticket in the College of Medicine’s TeamDynamix ticketing system.
Local tech support would deal with most problems, e.g. OS, browser, network connectivity or UIC authentication issues. If local tech support is unable to resolve the issue, the local tech support would escalate the issue to Jennifer Joaquin.
Specific tailored support will be provided on a case-by-case basis.
