RFP for Education Research and Scholarship Project (ERSP) Grant

With support from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Dean’s Office, the Department of Medical Education (DME) is now accepting Education Research and Scholarship Project (ERSP) grant applications in the field of Health Professions Education from all disciplines, departments, and campuses of the College of Medicine.
The ERSP Grant Program welcomes research projects that advance the understanding of educational theory, science, and practice through scholarly inquiry. We seek proposals that evaluate innovative, cutting-edge approaches to health professions education.
This new grant initiative aims to support the career development of all UI COM clinicians and educators across disciplines and professions who are interested in educational research. All UI COM faculty and Academic Professional Staff may be eligible to serve as PI or Co-PI. Trainee members of UI COM (MD students, PhD students, MS students, postdocs, residents, fellows) may be part of the project team as Co-Investigators or Key Research Personnel.
All topic areas will be considered. Proposals that foster collaboration are strongly encouraged. Three projects will be funded, for up to $10,000 each.
The application deadline is November 3, 2023.
