Develop a college-wide orientation program for new faculty.
Key Activities
- Identify an Associate Dean for Faculty Development (who will oversee orientation in future years)
- Develop and implement a process of centrally administered systematic orientation
- Develop and implement a continuous quality improvement method to evaluate and optimize orientation.
- Share key Faculty Orientation materials on the faculty affairs homepage
- Create and disseminate to departments a checklist for minimum orientation components to be used in orienting faculty at the departmental level

- Develop a continuous quality improvement method to evaluate and optimize recommended practices

- Develop a continuous quality improvement method to evaluate and optimize recommended mentoring practices

- Develop and implement a process of centrally administered orientation for new staff employees (ongoing).
- Share key Staff Orientation materials on the staff website.
- Create and disseminate to departments a checklist for minimum recommended orientation components and practices for new staff to be used at the unit level.

- Share key Professional Development materials on the staff website, quarterly newsletter, and disseminate to units (ongoing).

- Evaluate the effectiveness of new resources/initiatives to support staff wellbeing using continuous quality improvement framework (ongoing).
- Identify opportunities to celebrate, recognize and engage COM staff (ongoing).
- Share key Mental Health and Wellness materials on the staff website, quarterly newsletter, and disseminate to units (ongoing).
