Anticipated Promotions lists are due Monday, June 3, 2024.
COM Faculty Affairs will hold weekly office hours via Zoom each Thursday from 1:00-2:00pm, starting May 23rd through August 30th. These sessions are open to department heads, paper preparers, p&t coordinators, and promotion candidates.
NEW PROCESS: Special Request Form for Alternative UEOs or Committee Members Required for cases where 1) the Unit Executive Officer has a substantial collaboration or conflict of interest with the candidate, or is not eligible to vote for the candidate; 2) participation in a p&t committee by faculty holding emeritus status is necessary; or 3) due to the lack of eligible voters, the departmental P&T committee will need to include faculty from other UIC units. When completing the online request form, please enter pmaki1 when prompted to enter a netid for the Dean or Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs.

| Friday, August 23, 2024 | Dossier and related materials due for all tenure track promotions, including Q contracts, from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor (RT and CT tracks). |
| Friday, August 30, 2024 | Dossiers and related materials due for all tenure track promotions, including Q contracts, from Associate Professor to Professor (RT and CT tracks). |
| Friday, September 20, 2024 | Departments must submit any updates to their p&t norms and criteria made over the past year |

College of Medicine Submission Requirements
Units should submit promotion packets to the College by uploading them into the appropriate COM P&T submissions folder in Box. Please contact Rosa Setterstrom for access to your unit’s Box folder.
Affixing scanned signature images is a suitable alternative to securing original signatures.
- Dossier Preparer and Unit Coordinator Checklist – electronic submission
- Information Summary Form (ISF) – electronic submission in Word Format
- 2024-25 P&T Dossier Forms: all tracks– electronic submission of dossier in Word format, and PDF files of all external documents
- Peer evaluation of faculty teaching – electronic submission of form in Word or PDF format, and PDF files of letters from former trainees/students and/or peers
- Candidate’s current CV – electronic submission in Word or PDF format
- Recent publications – 3 articles submitted as PDFs in one combined file
- Special Request Form for Alternative UEOs or Committee Members
